The Telegraph says the forthcoming BBC adaptation of Jamaica Inn will be filmed in Northern Ireland, rather than Bodmin Moor.
A spokeswoman for the BBC said:
BBC Northern Ireland Drama have been developing Jamaica Inn with Origin Pictures for over 18 months and enjoy a longstanding relationship. This commission is part of the BBC’s on-going commitment to establish a drama base in Northern Ireland which provides a strong, talented crew base, great locations and logistical ease.
Origin Pictures say the three-part drama is likely to be screened around Christmas. There is no news about who will star, but it will be written by Emma Frost.
