Dreamworks to remake Rebecca

According to my sources over at Crimespree, Dreamworks is planning a new version of Rebecca (review here).

Steven Knight, who wrote the screenplay for Dirty Pretty Things, is reported to be writing the script.

As the proud owner of a new BT Vision doohickey, I can now record TV and noticed a version of Rebecca with Charles Dance and Diana Rigg coming up on ITV3. Also presumably not as good as Hitchcock’s, but I’m going to give it a go.
