First picture of Mark Williams as Father Brown

[If you have any questions about the new BBC series of Father Brown, ask here…]

An article in the Cotswold Journal gives us the first picture I’ve seen of Mark Williams as Father Brown, and also reveals that the crew has also been filming on the GWR, suggesting that The Blue Cross will form the basis for one of the episodes.

Williams is clearly enjoying the Cotswolds: ‘People in Blockley have been great. The food is brilliant and I’m a big fan of Wilkins the Butchers in Chipping Campden. I love shopping there.’

A bit of Googling has also turned up this piece of citizen journalism, filmed out of somebody’s bedroom window…

A bit tall for what I imagined Father Brown but the face and age are what I saw in my mind while reading the stories.

Looks very nice, & good to read the Cotswolds news – reminds me of my Dad who lived there.
