Director chosen for ‘Rebecca’

Deadline.com last night posted the news that a Director has been chosen for the planned remake of Rebecca by Dreamworks. He is Nikolaj Arcel (nor me), who directed a film called A Royal Affair and co-wrote the screenplay for the Swedish The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Judging by the comments, Hitchcock fans are not keen…

  1. I wonder if they will keep it in period or bring it up-to-date? Either way, one imagines that the sory’s solid narrative virtues shoudl see it through (if they keep them of course …) – thanks Rich.
