The BBC has launched the official Sherlock app. Developed by The Project Factory, the app contains exclusive video content featuring Cumberbatch and Freeman.
Sherlock Holmes has a message for you. He wants you to help him solve his latest case. Using your mobile phone, you must navigate the streets of London discovering clues, solving puzzles and piecing together the case.
I have no intention of doing any such thing, but for those that might, you can find out more at Sherlock: The Network, and read a user review at Sherlockology.
The app is £2.99 from all good app stores. However, note that apparently it contains:
- Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes
- Infrequent/Mild Mature/Suggestive Themes
- Infrequent/Mild Realistic Violence
So be careful.
* Better headline suggestions gratefully received.
Not sure I’l download this one, Rich, but I do respect the interest in getting a new generation interested in the Holmes stories.

I’m not a fan of games but I can see the appeal for Sherlock fans.
