One Response to ‘Mr Holmes’: First clip of Ian McKellen as a 92-year-old Sherlock

I think this is based on the novel SLIGHT TRICK OF THE MIND by Mitch Cullin. I read it several years ago and it’s one of the few Holmesian pastiches I heartily recommend for people who want a different kind of Holmes novel. Very existential and ruminative, often heart wrenching and overall beautifully written. The novel had three different stories and I’m wondering if the Japan portion will be eradicated for this movie version.
