Agatha: The Real Life of Agatha Christie

This looks like an interesting project – a new ‘graphic biography’ of Agatha Christie, published this month by SelfMadeHero (who have previously published some Sherlock Holmes graphic novels and Donald Westlake’s The Hot Rock).

Written by Anne Martinetti and Guillaume Lebeau, and illustrated by Alexandre Franc, the 128-page book uses with Christie’s infamous disappearance as a way into her life story.

‘Revealing a side to Christie that will startle and delight many readers, Agatha introduces us to a free-spirited and thoroughly modern woman who, among other things, enjoyed flying, travel and surfing.’

If you can get to London on 11th May, the co-authors will be discussing Agatha at the Institut Francais.
