I had the TV on in the background on Sunday night only to hear “Rowan Atkinson as Maigret”. I hadn’t watched the trailer, and haven’t seen it repeated, so have not managed to get my brain past the initial “eh? really?” reaction.
I usually don’t like comics moving over into more serious roles, but liked Rik Mayall when he moved over (and Matthew Kelly can be amazing) so I suppose I’ll have to give him the benefit of the doubt
